About K'Gari, Fraser Island

Featuring Australian of the year nominee (2021) and international award-winning Keynote Speaker Matt Runnalls!

On the 4th of July 2021, a lucky group of passionate people will take on a mental health fundraising walk on the west side of K’gari, Fraser Island – The largest sand island in the world!

Forty applicants will have the opportunity to raise much-needed funds for Mindfull Aus, explore Fraser Island and listen to a heartfelt and educational speech from an international award-winning keynote speaker, Matt Runnalls.



Suicide is the leading cause of death in Australia for people aged 15-44yrs. Mindfull Aus is an Australia-wide mental health charity founded on the premise of taking a youthful, realistic and comfortable approach to talking about mind and behavioural health and suicide prevention.



It is estimated that around 4 million Australians suffer from a mental illness in one given year. As a part of this once in a lifetime opportunity, your fundraising assistance will help Mindfull Aus encourage those in high-risk areas of Australia to put wellness back into their own hands. Their success derives from equipping those individuals with skills, strategies and techniques to ensure that they not only get-by and cope but learn to live and lead healthy, happy and fulfilling lives.Applying to be apart of our Fraser Island charity walk, you will have the opportunity to raise crucial funds for Mindfull Aus to implement their early intervention program. Teaching kids as young as 4years old how to identify, control and express their emotions in more positive ways so that they can live and lead a happy and fulfilling life, just as they deserve.



If you are selected to be a part of this adventure, you will embark on a whole day trip to the world heritage listed marine park and largest sand island in the world: K’gari, Fraser Island. We will be departing on the boat Tasman Venture from Hervey Bay before making our way over to the island. We will share some fascinating information on the trip and enjoy morning tea before boarding an amphibious vessel that will take all guests over to the West side of the island. From here, we will hike a sand dune with incredible photo opportunities at the top before walking along the beautiful white sandy beaches. Once we come to a stop, we will listen to Matt Runnalls, an international award-winning keynote speaker, talk on mind and behavioural health. Once we leave the island, we will have lunch aboard Tasman Venture and set off to do a surprise activity to finish off the day.


Before this unforgettable day, all challengers raise funds for Mindfull AUS with a minimum goal of raising $250. Raising these funds will secure your spot in this incredible experience. Registration fee: $80 (RRP $320 boat and speeches) Fundraising minimum goal: $250 ($25 from 10 family members or friends)
